Strategy

So I’ve come up with a new strategy for fixing my distorted photos: post more entries until they get pushed off my main page. Not exactly clever, but effective. And I’ve learned my lesson—from now on, I’ll be sizing my pics before I post them to Flickr.

My day at work (from our home office):

  1. Use VPN to log into network.
  2. Retrieve and respond to 3 emails.
  3. Computer drops wireless network connection.
  4. VPN connection drops.
  5. Reconnect to network.
  6. Reconnect to VPN.

Throw in a few reboots and repeat steps 5 and 6 ad infinitum. About 3:00 this afternoon, I was ready to throw the computer out the window. J.P., my own personal support rep and MCSE extraordinaire, was teaching a class and unavailable. But within ten minutes of his coming home, voila! Back online.

What—you wanted an interesting post? Sorry—the strategy for the next few days is quantity, not quality.
